Price calculator assistant

This project was initiated by Planbit, a company that, amongst other activities, buys and sells IT assets like laptops. They were seeking a tool to help them predict values before buying assets, by harnessing the power of AI.

For this project I was granted access to a large dataset with records of historical data about laptop sales. Several approaches were explored to use this data to make price predictions. I landed on the automation tool called n8n, in which I designed a custom workflow. I also designed the dashboard for users.

The end result was a webapp which allowed users to either chat with a chatbot assistant or upload a file with laptops listed. In the n8n backend, both historical data and live web searches were combined to provide an accurate estimation of a laptop value, powered by LLM integration. Authentication for login and easy data addition were developed in the workflow as well.

Even though Planbit has opted for a custom ML model for more accurate predictions, they were pleased with the solutions I developed, giving them a glance at the possibilities of agentic workflows like these.
